Join Lara Neece, award-winning artist and owner of the Savannah company Forest and Fin, in a workshop on how to create small mixed media marshscapes. Art will be based on photographs of the low country using two or more mediums. Under Lara’s expert guidance, participants will use a variety of media such as graphite, watercolor, acrylic, and/or ink to create landscapes that reflect their interpretations of the natural environment on small wood panels. Lara will teach us more about line and brushstrokes – how they relate to textures in nature and create the feeling of space and expense – and as how colors and undertones can be used to set a mood and time of day. Celebrate “Marsh Madness” with hands-on artistic instruction from one of Savannah’s most beloved artists!
