Join artist Michael Kolster for a discussion of his work in the Jepson Center's upcoming exhibition "Michael Kolster: Take Me to the River," which opens to the public on July 12!
This exhibition displays a collection of contemporary wet-plate ambrotypes, a historical technique of photography, from the artist’s "Rivers" series (2011–2014). In Take Me to the River, Michael Kolster (American, b. 1963) explores four American rivers that flow into the Atlantic Ocean—the Androscoggin, Schuylkill, James, and Savannah—as they emerge from two centuries of industrial use and neglect.
After the lecture, Michael Kolster will be signing copies of his book, “Take Me to the River” (George F. Thompson Publishing, 2016).
Members free / non-members $8
