Join us on Friday, July 5th from 6 – 9PM for a fully loaded evening of open artist studios, "Home" a group exhibition by the Artist Members of Sulfur Studios, the final viewing of Artist Resident Maggie Hayes’ site-specific project, and the Sulfur Studios Street Fair with Dark Shark food truck!
On display in the Gallery: "Home - Sulfur Studios Members Exhibition" For Sulfur Studios’ Members Exhibition, artists were prompted to respond to the idea of ‘home’ — Does the word ‘home’ represent a specific building or a specific place or is it the people we surround ourselves with, by choice or by chance? What does it mean to have a home and safe haven, and what does it mean to be without this basic need?
ON:VIEW Artist Residency: "Unconditional love will break down the hierarchy of oppression" by Maggie Hayes
Open Artist Studios: As usual during First Fridays in Starland, the public is invited to tour our studios and meet the artists working here. People are encouraged to step into each open artist space, ask questions to learn about the artists and their processes, and purchase any work that may be for sale.
