ARTWORK STATEMENT: Light is my main subject as an artist. In this painting, I focus on capturing the feeling of early sunrise on the beach, when the colors are soft, luminous, and transparent. Using a palette knife, I build texture in the water to convey the movement of the waves and the shifting reflections of light.
