IMPORTANT ARTIST INFORMATION
Dear AOC’ers, our board met last night and we have some important information for you to take down. Please read carefully.
PICKUP / DROP OFF
The BEST time for you to pick up work from the Poetic show and drop off work for LORE is at our Quarterly Meeting on Monday, Sept 22 from 6-7:30pm. This will be at the Richmond Hill City Center, 520 Cedar Street, inside JF Gregory Park.
If you cannot make the quarterly, you can drop off work at the Arts on the Coast Gallery, located inside the Richmond Hill Visitors Center, 10750 Ford Ave from 10am-2pm on either Thursday the 19th or Friday the 20th.
Artwork from the Poetic show that is leftover after the Quarterly Meeting will be transported to the AOC Gallery for pickup there.
Please note that at this time the AOC Gallery inside the Visitors Center is only manned by us on on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 10am-2pm. Our gallery director, Elizabeth, has recently relocated and is no longer opening the space on Saturdays.
ARTNITE: Lore
ArtNite is on 09/26 from 5:30 to 8:00 (it is requested that artists participating in the show be there by 5:00 if possible) Show begins on 9/26 and runs into early December. Limit of 3 pieces to be shown. We ask that these works have not been shown in Richmond Hill in the past 2 years to keep things interesting for our attendees. If you are member that enjoys sharing culilnary delights, we’d love to have you bring an appetizer to share for opening night. If you plan to submit 3-D work, let us know and we can get a pedastal for you. 3-D works will be transferred to the AOC Gallery after opening night. Price is $ 45 to participate along with an active membership status. If you are unsure of your membership status, see if your name is on the current directory.
***ARTWORK MUST BE READY TO HAND WITH END-TO-END WIRING*** Our volunteers do not have time to wire your work. If it’s not wired, it will not be displayed.
***LABEL YOUR WORK WITH YOUR NAME, TITLE, MEDIUM, AND PRICE*** Yes, you are also entering this on your form submission, but with the surplus of artworks that come in for these events, we don’t need a guessing game as to which piece is which.
***SIGN UP ASAP*** Our label girl is going to be out of town at an art convention gathering all sorts of wisdom to bring to back to our membership. She would really appreciate early submissions online so that she can start making labels right away. If you plan to participate, please go ahead and sign up here. This will also make our Quarterly meeting a little less hectic.
