About the Theme: LORE
The concept of lore encompasses traditions, myths, personal histories, and cultural narratives. It provides depth, meaning, and context, weaving together facts and imagination. For this exhibition, AOC artists are invited to create works that express the stories they wish to tell—whether through painting, photography, sculpture, or mixed media.
“Every time an artist creates, they are telling a story,” said Sarah Volker, President of Arts on the Coast. “LORE offers our members the opportunity to showcase the narratives behind their work, whether drawn from history, culture, or their own personal journeys.”
Looking Ahead
Arts on the Coast is currently planning its 2026 exhibition calendar. Members are encouraged to submit theme proposals by September 12, 2025, to shvolker@coastalnow.net.
Arts on the Coast extends sincere appreciation to its members for their ongoing commitment and creativity. Their participation and support are vital to the organization’s mission of fostering and showcasing the arts in Richmond Hill and beyond.
